You may be wondering what AppleThaiStudio.com is all about.
It is a place where you will find two services being offered: Thai Home Cooking and Yoga.
For many, having Thai home-cooking classes at home is entertaining and convenient. In fact, learning how to make home-cooked Thai food at home is educational and economical at the same time.
You will gain knowledge and confidence about Thai food and its ingredients that once were considered as exotic and difficult to find. It is also fun and healthy (light & fresh) to make your own Thai food. Most importantly, you will realize that most ingredients are so inexpensive and very affordable.
You will be able to make some simple dishes, like Pad Thai that is not so sweet or too wet, but much closer to its authentic * FASS balancing flavor/taste; a Stir-fry Vegetable dish that is still crunchy and delicious; and Green Curry or Masamun Curry that are very easy to make and give you lots of leftovers.
For Yoga as a private lesson at home, public classes and/or workshops at local studios and communities, please see “Schedule” for details.
I invite you to spend one week practicing Yoga and meditation with Jnani Chapman and me at the Tubkaak resort in Krabi, Thailand this July 2010. Please note that due to the unsettled political issue in Thailand, we had to cancel this Yoga retreat and hope to be able to do it within the next year or two. We apologize for any inconvenience!
Feel free to email me with any questions or comment on my blog.
Blessings,
Apple Knisley
Note: * FASS stands for fat, acid, salt, and sweet, originated by Gary Bang, a client of Rebecca Katz, the author of “One Bite at a Time” cookbook (Nourishing Recipes for Cancer Survivors and Their Friends).
